About the Pantry:

The Giving Movement’s Food Pantry is named after Minnie Ewing. The operation of the pantry continues the legacy of Minnie Ewing-- the pastor, author, and mother of seven. Matt 25:35

FACTS: EVERY 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger, 75% of them are children under five.

MISSION: To feed the hungry

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Our daily bread program at Minnie’s Place exists to provide free food and low cost clothing to low income families and individuals in need of emergency services. Minnie’s Place provides a free supply of emergency groceries once every week for residents of our service area who do not have enough food because they lack the resources to purchase it. We are a Certified 501 (c)(3) charity

Minnie’s Place ultimate goal is to aide in creating a hunger free community. The Giving Movement also provides FREE clothing and household items to agency-referred clients.

WHO WE SERVE: Low income families; Single parents; Elderly; Unemployed; Disabled; Working poor, Anyone that comes to the facility in need.

EDUCATION: Donating food is the first part. Education is the most important part of the program. TGM is working to establish comprehensive and integrative programs that will make families self sufficient. TGM programs will provide resources that can educate, enlighten and empower families to teach them methods of becoming self sustaining individuals.

SUPPORTING CHURCHES: DayStar Deliverance Ministries

VOLUNTEER: Local churches, community organizations and hundreds of individuals generously donate food, money and volunteer time to keep the Food Pantry running successfully throughout the year.

CRITERIA: Clients must provide identification and they must complete a one page confidential form that helps the Food Pantry track its resources. The food pantry is designed to provide one food order per household. A client can receive one unit which consist of staple items like cereal, rice, soup, juice, vegetables, fruit, pasta, sauce, and prepared meals in a can such as stew or chili while supplies last. Persons residing in the same household and sharing a kitchen will receive food as ONE household.

OUR FACILITY OFFERS: A clean environment, happy volunteers, flexible hours, friendly service, fresh food, additional resources. Most of all we offer HOPE.
