HOSPITAL HOSPITALITY:

TGM’s Hospital Hospitality program provides baskets which include but not limited to food and snacks for the families and friends of patients at local hospitals that have to wait in the Emergency rooms or in the Intensive Care Unit area. The last thing The Giving Movement wants is for a person to have to purchase a $1.00 bag of chips while their loved ones are suffering and clinging onto life. We also provide baskets for people that are in the hospital without any family members.
The assorted hospitality baskets can be filled with drinks, chips, candy, cross word puzzles, Giving Movement cards and journals and essentially anything to bring a smile to someone’s face. If you would like to sponsor this project at your local hospital please contact us at info@thegivingmovement.org. You are sure to receive smiles when you partner with this campaign. Be sure to share your story with us.

NOTHING BUT GOOD NEWS RADIO SHOW ‘A REAL HAPPY HOUR’

Are you tired of hearing all the negative media in the news? The Giving Movement sponsors a weekly “Happy Hour” to talk about good news and people who are life changers. If you or someone you know is doing something positive in the world email us at info@thegivingmovement.org

FILL THE CAR OR BUS ‘BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE’

This is a project that challenges the entire community. The Giving Movement challenges families and friends to get their church and company involved to fill their vehicles with school supplies and backpacks. The school supplies are then distributed to schools throughout the community and warehoused to assist teachers in low income areas when they need supplies during the school year.

GIVING CHARITY CHECKS

The goal of The Giving Movement is to educate our youth about philanthropy. In a sponsored classroom, every student receives a Charity Check for $25 and the opportunity to be a thoughtful philanthropist. Charity Checks acts like Gift Certificates, except instead of buying goods, these Giving Certificates Do Good. They can be used as a donation to any of the 800,000 non-profits in this country (recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3)). A classroom can be sponsored by an individual or group (anonymously or with their logo on the check). The students can also raise the money for themselves. To find out more about bringing charity checks to your classroom, or to sponsor a classroom, contact The Giving Movement at cjackson@thegivingmovement.org

CHILD SAFETY DAY

The Giving Movement sponsors an annual child ID Program that delivers peace of mind to parents and their children. The safety day is sponsored by a local company that provides free food, drinks and entertainment for the kids. The local law enforcements and other safety agencies are invited to this event. The kids and their parents will be given the opportunity to speak with and ask questions of the enforcement agencies and they can see and experience first hand some of the equipment that is used in their line of business.

The participants also receive a video of the most advanced digital child safety id that is available today which includes a photograph, fingerprints, and video to use in case of an emergency. During the event, there is a free raffle of a girls and boys bicycle and safety helmet.

BE THE CHANGE ‘A PENNY SAVED IS A PENNY LEARNED’

The Giving Movement educates our children on the value of coins. It’s easy to partner with us on this challenge. The Giving Movement uses your spare change to fund our projects. We will purchase books, food, clothing and shoes for people in need. Join the movement. Change a life. Donate your loose coins to The Giving Movement and help us show the kids how to be a life changer.

Generous Strangers -Christmas Campaign

Are you a Generous Stranger?  After seeing a segment on the news about a home that was burglarized  during the Christmas holidays, Cheryl Jackson, TGM founder, took immediate action.  She contacted companies and individuals to raise enough money to replace all of the stolen toys and provide food for the family on Christmas day.  The media called the campaign “Generous Stranger Saves Christmas”  this has become an annual event for TGM.

The Giving Movement Organization partners with companies local school districts and the community to gather and distribute toys to needy children in the area.  TGM also partners with other non-profits to identify families that will need assistance during the Christmas holidays.  The Giving Boutique store is open on Christmas Day to allow children to receive FREE toys and hope for the future.
