Local Children and Families to Receive Free Food and Personal Care Items
 
Plano, TX. (Feb. 27, 2008) – On Thursday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m., international hunger relief organization Feed The Children will distribute one semi tractor-trailer full of food and personal care items to The Giving Movement (3100 Independence Parkway, Suite 217). The Giving Movement is a Feed The Children partner agency and will receive 400 food and personal care boxes.
 
This distribution marks the grand opening of The Giving Boutique, a food pantry which is part of The Giving Movement. Thursday marks the grand opening of The Giving Boutique and on Sunday, March 2, there will be a watch party of Oprah Winfrey’s “Big Give” show that will air at 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this free event that will also be held at The Giving Boutique. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and attendees will be able to walk a red carpet. Donations will be accepted to help purchase an electricity box for the pantry, which is required by the City of Plano.
